Since the eighties, much change has happened to the office features in Vietnam. The shift from public office to open space then to office tower also happened on a par with the socio-economic growth of Vietnam and the influx of multinationals from abroad. Such shifts represented the new view on how to use office space most effectively, and how office space interacts with people who work in it. Such a convenience rendered by new facilities is certainly substantial to the increasing efficiency of individual staff. Particular features of work and businesses will decide the office appearance. There are certain types of office design that both contributes to staff’s efficiency and specific corporate culture.
Some of the new trends in office interior design was addressed in the presentation of architect Tran Khanh Trung. Following is just part of the topic, an illustration for one of the trends introduced by him: an office interior that is full of vigorating colors, most suited for a company with younger staff.
The BAT office occupies a space of 2,500 sqm, divided into three wings, each of them represents a particular operational purpose. The color codes in these areas are also distinctive: white and red in harmony with grey, while at the other area it is an entire palette. The positive effect of the color scheme in this office is a great boost to the working rhythm and creative dynamics of staff. Wall posters also contribute to the reservoir of energy. With this youthful scheme of color and lively arrays of posters, everything here seems to be always on the move. The author of the design also paid a lot of care to the need for entertaining and relaxing of staff. There is an area of 300 sqm dedicated to this purpose, such as bar counters, canteens, and smoking areas…
Such office images illustrates the modern-time design of office interior, which expresses a new viewpoint in interior design and the intention to make the best use of office space. The sense of professionalism in this office focuses on people in many aspects. Obviously, this proper attention given to office design will increase productivity of people.
